Ok, so you may be thinking all those chocolate eggs, and maybe the hot cross buns, or the four day weekend – but thats not what Im thinking!

I just finished a service at a lovely church in Camberley. Now Im actually suffering from a cold, felt like death warmed up (which I think is quite funny as a medium) and not in the best of conditions to do a service, however I know that whilst I am on platform, Spirit will take over and I will be just the one speaking. When it came to my address, I already knew that I wanted to talk about Personal Responsibility, and bring in a connection to Easter.

From my understanding, Easter is all about the day Christ came back from the dead or was reborn – the resurrection. The way that I see it, this is possible every day. Each morning, when we wake up – we have the chance to start again. Each day is a new chance for us to do the things that we desire, and each day we can choose how we react to what has happened in the past. We do not have to wait for a single moment or time in order to do what we need to do – we make those as we go along.

So Easter everyday, maybe not the chocolate kind, but the kind where you can start afresh in each moment of your new day!

Have fun creating!

From personal experience, I have learned not to judge. Well – I have certainly tried to not judge. If I find myself doing it, I change it as quickly as possible. A wonderful teacher taught me that when you judge someone, you loose the ability to influence them. Whilst I don’t always try to influence people – I am also aware that what I judge in others – is often a part of me that I am not happy about, but I do not recognise it in the same way.

I watched recently as someone discussed somebody else and their life situation – and then judged, became the jury and then passed sentence on someone elses life, without them even being there. I listened, and whilst I could feel myself getting angry at what was being said, I said nothing. I have also learnt that when people are in this mode of judgement, they are looking to be validated. I decided to say nothing, my choice in the moment, and instead I sent some healing thoughts out to the person who was being judged. I watched how the Judge in this case, turned into Jury as they confirmed to themselves what they had said was right, and then Executioner – handing out a sentence on what would happen to this person if they didn’t change their ways.

What I realised is that it can be easier for us to judge what someone else is doing when we don’t want to focus on what is happening to us in our lives at that moment in time. By taking the focus away from ourselves, we are then able to forget about what we can be focusing on – which is ourselves. I also believe that thoughts are an energy form, and that the thoughts that are generated when judging, not only take something away from ourselves – but also can affect the person that we are speaking about.

So the next time you find yourself judging someone, take a moment to find out what you can do to change that thought – send a thought of love to the person you are judging, and also take that moment to send a thought of love to yourself – and leave your judgement behind.

I am sitting on a plane, and heading to South Africa for a work conference. I actually enjoy this time, as it means I get to sit and watch some films and take time out – and just relax.

I watched three movies in total during the eleven hour flight, and the first was one I was looking forward to, only to find that I really wanted to turn it off! The next was a typical romantic comedy, and then the third is one that I classed as a last resort – but turned out to be amazing!

500 Days of Summer was the name of the film, and it featured a guy that fell head over heels for this girl (called Summer), and how he spent the next 500 days with her, both in and out of a relationship. I don’t want to spoil the film for anyone that hasn’t seen it, but he has this belief that there was this one girl for him. Whether that changes for him or not – you are going to have to watch the film, but for him – at one point in the film, he just knew!

We are often called to check in with what we are thinking, feeling or just knowing – and when we trust that feeling, and go with it – we enter a new way of being. Its called being in the moment! When we find ourselves focusing on the past or the future – we are not able to do anything about it! Being in the present moment though really allows us to connect with our intuition, ourselves, and allows us to just know what step we need to take next!

I am a great believer in that people show up in our lives for a reason. I live the song in Wicked that tells this beautifully:

“I’ve heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return ”

Recently – I have noticed that even in my life, people are showing up to help me on my journey. Some are staying, and others come in and leave when necessary.

What is surprising me more, is that people in my life now are showing me different parts of me – that I didn’t realise were there! I had a conversation at work with someone, and I found that I was getting very irritated and annoyed at what was being said to me, and how they couldn’t follow my simple instructions.

I then realised, that all that was happening – was I was not following someone elses ’simple instructions’. So I have learnt a great listen in watching how I get irritated, and what I need to do to correct that behaviour, a reflection of myself in one way or another!

For the past year I have been the co-host on a wonderful on-line radio show with Gina Alzate. The show was called ‘Healing with Spirit Communication’ and as co-host it was my role to give proof of survival and messages from loved ones in spirit to those that called in.

The show has been phenomonal! I have enjoyed every minute – even when a guy decided to play loud music down the phone to me – I continued on! It has also proved to me that our loved ones in spirit can connect through any channel that they can to get their message across.

However, now is the time for this show to come to an end, and the last show will be on Tuesday 9th February – and we will have a loved theme to accompany the show! I know that something will continue, whatever the format – but I know something will takes it place!

I feel sad in one way, yet happy in another as I know that when one door closes, another one opens! So I am looking forward to the challenge of something new in the coming days!

If you want to listen to any of the archieved calls, then please visit my website here!

I am not sure if this New Year has started as I would have expected it to! In one respect, it was a lot of fun! Some friends invited me onto a boat on the Thames to watch the fireworks that went off around the London Eye. There was dancing, and celebration, and also it was fancy dress! Something to push me out of my comfort zone to start with, the fact that it was a nautical theme was quite hilarious really, and I decided to dress as a sailor! It was a great night, and yet there is something quite different about this year than what I have previously experienced. There is a silence.

I have been going to Weight Watchers off and on over the past few years. What I didn’t realise was that it is over 7 years that I have been going on and off – and not much has changed! Just before Christmas, I re-joined and there was a lady that had also started around the same time as me. She started shortly after having her son, who was along for the Christmas celebrations one evening – and that was when it hit me – I have been going round in circles for 7 years! I have been up and down in my body weight for some time, only feeling real satisfaction last year when I dropped three stone – only to find that I have now put two of that three back on!

That was when the word hit me – Enough! For so long now, I have been going round in circles, doing things again and again – but not getting anywhere further. So once the word ‘enough’ hit me, a silence came over me. What do I do now if I have had enough. I have always had a rough idea of where I was going in life – but no real difinitive plan… but now is the time for me to do it! I have decided that I am going to make this New Year my best year ever, and that I am aslo going to take my own advice as well!

2009 for me has been a year of discovery – but also it has been a year when I have constantly put myself under stress and obligations that were unnecessary. One of my friends said to me, you know this stuff – why are you just doing it! So this new year is a new chance for me to put into action what I do know into action.

I love teaching and watching people grow and develop into their own wonderous selves, and I am now seeing that change in my own being too. Today is the first day, where I have sat back and relaxed and done things that have made me happy – but I have also then cleared off items off my todo list – just because they have been sitting there for way too long!

Now is the time to take action for your life too! I am following my own kick-start program, and invite you along for the ride if you want. Just sign up here and I look forward to helping you make 2010 your best year yet as well!

I was chatting with a good friend of mine yesterday, and we were talking about the need to release it all in order for one to be spiritually enlightened. She had been on a workshop – and was told that in order to have spiritual enlightenment, she had to release all connections, to those that she loved, her material possessions and basically everything she has – in order to be more spiritually connected. This didn’t sit well with my friend, and for good reason – she is a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend – and to loose those connections would be like a hole in the heart! It made me think too that if I had to cut out my family members, my nieces and nephews I would be devastated! I can remember that as my little sister found out she was having a baby, I moved countries because I wanted to be nearer her and my family!

Sometimes, what we need to let go of are the tangled, unhealthy relationships that we hold onto. I met someone recently, and had a blast, and have continued to hold this person in my thoughts – but the feeling has not returned in the same way, so I know that this is something that I need to let go of. However, letting go of a loved one for no other reason than to become spiritually aware is not something I would agree with. What I would agree with is that you can let someone go so that they follow their own path, they do their own thing. I am being faced with ‘expectations’ at this time in my life, as my family in one way or another expect me to be settled down and have some kids – yet that is their expectation in life, and not mine right now. Sure in the future I would love to have all of that, but right now it wouldn’t be good for me. I am finally learning how to live life and have fun after being a hermit and hiding for so many years – that now is the time for me to live life the way that I want to.

Letting go or releasing those around us, does allow us to allow them to live the life that they would like, and we hope in return that we are allowed to do the same. However, it does not mean that we have to give them up completely just to be enlightened. I believe that we are already enlightened, and that our light shines brightest when we share our love with our friends and family. They may not be around to receive it – but they will feel it one way or another.

I have been thinking over the last couple of days. For those that don’t know, the Christmas Number One in the UK is quite a big thing! For the past four years, it has been won by the winner of reality tv / find a new singing star contest ‘The X-Factor’. I am not complaining about the show, although I do not watch it that often. However, this year, a young guy won the contest, and his winning single was released just in time for everyone to run out an buy it – with the record companies hopes that it will hit number one. This year … it didn’t.

There was a big FaceBook campaign going on to get another single to number one, which was by an American group called ‘Rage Against the Machine’. In my own opinion, the song was not that good – but then it was not my type of music. What has really struck me though is that there was a lot of energy being used and created to stop X-Factor being number one. It was built up on the fact that people didn’t want Simon Cowell to have another number one, to have another success.

What if that energy, time had been spent on creating something positive? What if instead of it stopping something – but starting something – we would have a better world to be in? I am not sure if the whole campaign was to support ‘Rage Against the Machine’ or not. If it was, then it was a job well done. However, the posts and hypes that I had read on Facebook were more against Simon and the X-Factor.

So what could we spend our energy on creating – instead of stopping?!

I remember that as a kid, Christmas was a special time. We would be rushing around to get all the Christmas presents, and then making sure we have enough food in the house, and then Christmas day would come and go. My family always got together at my Nan’s house on Boxing Day – the day after Christmas – and we would have a Christmas day all over again!

This year, I am in the office working – but the party does start when I get home tonight – which I am looking forward to. However, I have been out to see what was open in the small village that the office is based in.

I walked into a local Sainsburys, and there wasn’t much fresh produce on the shelves, and I overheard someone complaining that the other supermarket was closed! It made me think how we are living in an age of expectation now, and that this expectation can often lead to us being disappointed.

I was always told that when we make assumptions, we make an ass out of me and you… is the same not for expectations? I can’t think of a little rhyme that will go with expectations – but I am aware that when I expect something – I am often left disappointed in how it turns out. I have slowly stepped back and stopped expecting things to happen, and noticed that life begins to flow much more easier, and I am now able to have more fun too!

This time of year everyone is gearing up and getting ready to make sure that they are all set for the one day – Christmas Day!

We have run around the shops to make sure we have the right christmas present for our loved ones, that we have enough food in the cupboards for the day, and that everything is just ready!

We eagerly await the time when our loved ones open the presents, and in return we open the presents that they have found for us.

There is one present though that we can give all year round, and that is our prescence. It is amazing at how this inexpensive gift can give you so much more than what a material present can give. By being present for a loved one – you are giving them so much more. We are often worrying about what is happening in the world – what is going on around us that we can sometimes forget what our family or friends are up to, and what is going on with them.

This Christmas, as well as giving out the presents, try being present as well. Listening to that loved one will give them a greater gift, and allow you to really see inside their heart and soul – and in return they may do the same for you!

There is another gift that you can also give yourself this Christmas. That is to be present for yourself. Have a check in with your own Spirit, find out what it needs for this festive season, and see what you can do to honour that! You are a wonderful Spirit – and deserve that present for you!

Have a fantastic Christmas, and enjoy being you for the rest of this year!
