I first found out about Soul Coaching and Densie Linn through Hay House Radio.  This was back in late 2006 when I was relatively new to the Spiritual movement.  Densie had just got her own weekly show on Hay House, and through there I listened to her, her stories and her pratical way of seeing things.  In January, Denise ran the first Soul Coaching program over the radio, and at the same time I purchased the book.

Once I completed the program the first time, I recognised the changes that had taken place in me - albeit small, they were changers.  Things that I had not looked at or dealt with before, came up and left - issues surrounding my childhood, my father, and so many other things.  They were small changes, but none the less - they were changes.

Over the next year, I did the program again and again, and recommended it to anyone I could.  That was when I decided to take a look at Denise's website (www.deniselinn.com) to see what else Denise did.  I found out there and then that I could become a Soul Coaching.  I debated over whether or not I would do it, and decided that seeing as one of the courses was taking place during my birthday - I had to go!  So I booked and flew off to Summer Hill Ranch in California.  What happened from there changed my life forever, and it is what has pushed me to share this 28 day program with everyone I can!

My Time at Summer Hill Ranch

WOW! What an experience! I have never had an experience like that before, and can't wait for the next one :) Grab a cuppa, maybe something to eat... going to be a long read here!!

I don't know really where to start, so I will guess the beginning is good!! I took off from Heathrow, to Los Angeles, and then took this tiny propeller plan to San Luis Obispo! It was a bit of a shock to see the plane so tiny, but it made it an adventure!! I got to the hotel, which was a little country cottage type, and it was such a sweet room. It was a bit small, but it was enough! I took myself for a walk down the road, headed for the 'downtown' area of San Luis, but it was 8 blocks - and that was a bit long for me! I also had a massage booked, so wanted to make sure I was back in time for that! Also, I had been up for nearly 20+ hours at this point - and yet the sun hadn't set! California is 8 hours in front of the UK, so it was all a bit weird for me! However, the massage sorted that out for me, and I went off to sleep that night at 10pm, or 6am UK time!! I then woke up 2am, 3am, 5am, and decided to get up at 5:30am! UK time, that was around 1:30pm - so my body clock was just saying GET UP! Luckily there was some good tv on, so I just watched TV, and got up for some breakfast! Tuesday was a nice easy day. I had some breakfast, went into the town and brought some new trainers, a couple of books, and then headed back to the pool!! It was hot!! I got burnt, which wasn't part of the plan, but at least I had some colour - it was red, but it was still some colour!! I went to see 'Prince Caspian' as well, and it was a good film - a bit long and not so true to the book - but I still enjoyed it!!

Not much else to say about that part of the trip, it was nice, but it was more about time for me to get into the time zone and rest! I did that, and when it came to packing up ready for Wednesday morning and meeting Denise! One thing, which comes up a bit later - I couldn't find my passport! Oh well, it was in the bag somewhere ;)

There was a small group of ladies getting together in front of the Apple Farm Inn when I checked out, and they began to introduce themselves to each other and me, and we all anticipated the arrival of Denise! Then she drove up - full of energy and looking radiant!! She gave everyone a hug, and I was just dumb struck and it was just so great! We split into the three cars that were there to pick us up, and went back to Summer Hill Ranch! When we arrived, the energy of the place was amazing, and it was so pretty. I had seen the pictures, and whilst the pictures tell you about the place, the actual feel of it was just something different! There were so many different rooms around the 30 acres of land, and I shared with Raymond in The Lodge. Raymond was on his second visit to Summer Hill, and so he suggested that we go for the more manly room - and The Lodge was that, with its earthy vibration. As I got to see the other rooms, they were flowery or something similar, and so I was so glad to have a more earthy room - keep me grounded! hehe!

We started the afternoon with a great lunch, and then it was off to The Sanctuary where we had our class. This was a chance to meet the group and we had to introduce the person sitting next to us, which was good - it was nice to chat to Charisma and find out more about her, and then hearing about the different members of the group - 14 in total!! We then got to look through the course notes that were created for us, and it was great to have all the information that we needed to become Soul Coaches. It was a surreal experience, I was there in The Sanctuary, sitting next to Denise Linn! How cool is that!! I was very pleased, and we started going through the different things that we would be learning, such as Soul Coaching, Soul Journeys, Spirit Sticks, Collages, Space Clearing, Past Life Journeys, Soul Coaching Card readings, and so much more! It was great! We finished a little early that day for lessons, but that was good - as we got to explore the grounds a little bit more, and talk about what was coming up! It was just a fantastic start to the day!

As the days progressed there was so much to take in - but at the same time, like Denise said we were remembering things that we already knew - and that was what it felt like. I knew some of the things that we learnt about rapport and how to build up connections with our clients from my other Life Coaching session, and this just confirmed more of it - it was amazing!! I also learnt some of the meditation techniques that Denise uses, and I was always amazed and how well she did things - it was great to learn those techniques! I managed to then take someone on their own Soul Journey, it was just interesting to do it - and at the same time it was odd! I am used to doing guided meditations, and showing people what I want them to see or do. However with a Soul Journey the client was the one that was giving the information... they were taking themselves on their journey, and getting their own results - it was fantastic!! I really enjoyed it too! When I was taken on my own journey with Allison (a fab Soul Coach!) she helped me receive a message from my soul. I was taken to a place in nature, and was immediately in the back garden of my cottage. Just to let you know, my cottage is a place I created for meditation and learning and development. I was in my cottage, and then moved out into the fields that were at the back, and saw this majestic tree. In this tree was a Snowy Owl, who flew and landed on my shoulder. It just sat there - looking, observing, and this was my message. I was to become the observer, and see what was happening with my life - and just learn. The tree itself, a Silver Birch, was also a message for me - but it was about connecting to my roots and being who I was. What an interesting message :)

The next day, we moved onto Past Life journeys, and I was looking forward to this so much! I learnt some more techniques, and this helped me understand how to take people through into a past life quite easily. As before, I had been on Past Life journeys with Denise before, but now I had learnt how to do it! Denise did a group one, where we all got to have our own journey - and this time, I could bring a talent in from a past life that could help me in this one. I decided that I wanted to look at public speaking. I do have an issue with it in this life, and wanted to improve on it. As Denise took us into the meditation - I was aware that I was nearly falling asleep! I was that relaxed! However, I recognised it and managed to wake myself up so that I could enjoy the meditation. I was taken back to a life where I was in Egypt, as a Spiritual Leader or Princess! Maybe both - I don't know! However, I was speaking to hundreds of people! As I was speaking - I was suddenly shot or speared! It was horrible, as I looked at the assassin, he was a lover of mine. I was killed for speaking my truth by someone I loved. I knew that in the past life I could change it, so I went back a day and ensured that my guards were in the place of where the assassin stood. This stopped him killing me! Through the meditation, Denise took us to the end of that life, where I was very happy and then from there to the spirit world. I was greeted by my grandparents of this life, and I saw them beaming. I was shown pictures of that past life, and then I was able to bring the public speaking aspect into my present life - as I did I got a future image of me standing with a mic in my hand, on stage, looking good!! It was fantastic, and as we came back, I felt empowered to do what I wanted to!

I then got to take someone on a past life journey - and again it was a new experience. I got to see what worked, and what didn't! I was then taken on another journey, and this time I was shown as a kitchen boy that didn't want to be where he was because he wanted to take a different path. I went past this path everyday, and everyday longing to move on into the new life. So I changed it! I took the path, and watched how my life has changed!! The funny thing was, Sonja (who took me on the journey) commented on how much she saw me in the kitchen after that journey! hehe

Friday arrived, and yep its my birthday!! It started with a round of applause from everyone, which was different - but it was a good start. Denise asked me about the past year, and what I was looking for the next year. She then made a statement for me, as I had decided that I wanted to 'live life' this year... Denise said... "From 29 to 30 - Terry Flies!!". I think that was a cool way of doing it! We learnt some space clearing techniques, and Feather clearing was great fun! We also then worked on a time line and this helped us see how our lives have been up until that point. That was fun, and I got to see some key points in my life... was good. When it came to the evening meal, we decided to dine in the courtyard. As I went out there, near dinnertime, there was no one there, the table hadn't been set. As Denise came out I asked if we were still eating here. I could tell straight away that we weren’t, and that when Denise asked me to set the table, it was a decoy. I knew something else was being set-up!! I did say to Denise, you know Im a psychic - and she just said I was bad... but still made me get the plastic plates and start setting the tables... so I did, until IJ was told to sit down and not go anywhere until called!! As I was called, I went to the Cabana that was decked out in streamers, and party hats and everything to really jazz up the place and make me feel special! It was great!! I have never had a birthday celebration like it!! I was told to straddle Clyde the Camel (it was wooden!) and there are some good pictures of me doing this! It was a real special evening, and I got some lovely presents too... including a glass egg for new beginnings, and a glass heart for new relationships, and a bach flower remedy bottle for a new start! It was a great day, and the chocolate cake that was made for me was fantastic!!! :)

The rest of the days certainly sped up from there. We had so much fun doing soul journeys, learning how to develop our business as Soul Coaches, giving card readings using the Soul Coaching Cards, and many other things that I will write about in more detail soon!

On the last evening, we had a special Graduation Ceremony. We were instructed to wait for Denise to bang the gong from The Sanctuary, and we had to walk from the main house to The Sanctuary, with a tea light. It was a magical moment, and one that I will cherish for a long time still. There had not been much wind at all during the time we were there, and guess what - during the ceremony our tea lights were going out. As I was the last one in the group, I had the job of keeping everyone alight! Was fun, and we managed it quite easily! The ceremony was then very special as Denise told us a story of the Red Plum Robe, and how it was about our own journey into Soul Coaching. In brief, it was about a young boy who comes across this Red Plum Robe - which was the robe of the wise Sage. The boy was cold, and so he wore the robe - not realising what it was at first. He was found by a local village, and asked to help solve the issues in the village. He did this, but not knowing that the actions he was making to tell people he was not the Wise Sage, was actually helping them to solve the issues. This happened many times, until he actually realised - he was the Wise Sage. My own personal take on the story is that we are all a wise sage in our own rights.

Leaving Summer Hill Ranch was probably the saddest part of the whole time there. I left feeling sick, but knowing I will return soon! In fact flying home was sad too - as I felt I was leaving home at the same time. I will be back soon :)
